Oh the humanity!

A GPS can be very handy if you get lost, or if you're looking for robotic birds, but many people don't realize that it can also keep you from getting speeding tickets. Folks, it's just basic physics.

The Hindenburg uncertainty principle tells us that both momentum and position can't be known with arbitrary precision. Translating that from scientific mumbo jumbo, if your location is known, it's impossible for anyone to know how fast you're moving. So if you have a GPS in your car, there's just no way for a cop to pin down your speed.

In fact, this is why GPS receivers are illegal in Arkansas.
